Steve Porter started his career as a vaudeville comedian in the 1890's. He recorded
many Irish skits. Porter died in 1946 at the age of 81.

Johm McGettigan was born near Carrigart, Co. Donegal in 1882. He emigrated in 1907 and
founded several businesses in Philadelphia. On his more than 40 records, McGettigan and His
Irish Minstrels recorded some instrumentals, but mostly songs, which he preferred.
He was much in demand as a singer.
